Mr. Rudy is a strategic and critical thinker, as well as a results driven leader, focused on delivering value by extracting the very best out of people, efficient execution, discipline, taking accountability, and solving problems, often with outside-the-box solutions. He began working from a very young age in two family businesses, a specialty advertising manufacturer/distributor, and a hot stamp and engraving company. It is there Mr. Rudy learned invaluable lessons of hard work, implementing processes, quality control, and exceeding expectations. As a teenager, he attended industry tradeshows representing the family businesses where he engaged with competitors and potential corporate clients.
Over the past twenty-five years, Mr. Rudy has worked in various industries and has acquired extensive management, operational, business development, and sales experience. Most recently, he founded and is CEO of a FinTech company addressing the largest crisis facing Americans - debt. With a focus on empowering consumers and leveling the playing field, Mr. Rudy’s vision is to create a stigma-free platform that provides users the necessary education and resources to enable them to take control of their finances and gain financial freedom. He has self-funded this venture from concept to development of an MVP.
Prior, for five years, Mr. Rudy leveraged his cross-industry experience and provided business consulting and litigation management services to various companies, including, a national debt collection agency, a specialty finance company focused on distressed debt, and a private equity firm. He gained invaluable knowledge of the legal industry and process. The cornerstone of his success stemmed from his innate sense to recognize solutions, often outside-the-box, negotiation skill set, GSD mentality, and ability to extract the best out of people. Through his different perspective, Mr. Rudy improved processes, implemented best practices, and achieved unparalleled results. One of his many achievements was yielding a 70% reduction of litigation expenditures, in excess of seven figures, for one of his clients. Concurrently with managing the debt defense litigation for a client, Mr. Rudy oversaw the St. Louis office operations during a transitional period. He performed an operational analysis and spearheaded a plan to implement efficiencies to improve productivity, saving in excess of six figures per annum. Mr. Rudy began working in the legal industry as a Litigation Manager with a law firm, after the sale of his advisory firm.
In late 2011, after working in the financial industry for nearly twenty years, Mr. Rudy founded his own investment advisory firm, in order to provide clients independent advice and exceptional service. Being dually licensed, Mr. Rudy simultaneously held a position as Branch Manager for a regional investment bank with a focus on emerging companies in the Midwest Region. Notably, in late 2013, he was one of the few market professionals forecasting for U.S. Treasury Bond yields to decline significantly. After three years, and significantly growing the firm’s asset base, Mr. Rudy monetized the firm through a sale to a financial advisor from Wells Fargo Advisors.
Previous to forming his investment advisory firm, Mr. Rudy was the Managing Director for an RIA, where he led the business development of the firm. For the six years prior, Mr. Rudy was the owner of multiple branch offices in 3 states with an independent broker-dealer/RIA. In addition, he conducted audits of other branch offices, ensuring financial and regulatory compliance.
Mr. Rudy began his career in the financial industry in 1992 with a boutique investment banking firm, working in operations and assisting the CFO. Soon thereafter, he transitioned to sales where he quickly gained recognition from management and peers. Ultimately, he was promoted to General Securities Principal within three years, then Senior Vice President, managing a team of over twenty brokers. Upon sale to an international NYSE member firm headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mr. Rudy was promoted to Senior Vice President/Branch Manager, overseeing the daily activities of one of the New York offices with 150 brokers. Thereafter, Mr. Rudy was recruited by a private securities firm, specifically for his experience and expertise in mitigating financial and regulatory risks. While overseeing the day-to-day operations, he completed a forensic analysis of the financial operations and developed an exit strategy to protect the owners’ interests.
Mr. Rudy’s understanding of the needs of a business, in part, stems from being an entrepreneur himself. Previously, Mr. Rudy was the owner of a high-end home furnishings and design company, as well as an interactive, educational toy company, The Eddy Teddy Company - named after Henry "Edward" Roberts, the father of the personal computer and President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt, Jr., who teddy bears were invented in honor of. Separately, in 2011, Mr. Rudy was instrumental in organizing U.S. energy experts to evaluate the development of power facilities within the Dominican Republic, utilizing various traditional and renewable technologies, in order to provide stable and affordable electricity.
Mr. Rudy has received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
